WALKS
On a typical walk, we will collect your dog from your home or place of work, free of charge and at a time convenient to you. Whatever the weather, we will safely transport your dog to a forest, park or beach and then exercise and play games with them for at least one hour. Dogs can be walked on or off the lead depending on your preference and the developed relationship between your dog and its walker.
We do all we can to ensure that your dog returns home safe, happy and tired! We’ll also clean up muddy paws so that your dog is left clean, dry and comfortable.
Your dog will be walked in a group, providing plenty of all important canine interaction, socialisation and play-time. Walks take place in various locations to keep your dogs interested and stimulated. Firm favourites include Eastney Beach, Forest of Bere, Foxes Forest and Portsdown Hill.
BOARDING
If you’re going away and your dog can’t go with you, our boarding service is a great alternative to kennels, providing a loving home-from-home environment with a garden to run around in and plenty of walks, play-time and cuddles on the sofa!
Instead of being left in kennels, your dog will be treated as one of the family with all the comforts, care and attention that your dog is used to in their own home. We will also do our best to follow your dog’s usual daily routine.
For your convenience, we provide a free pick up and drop off service but we would encourage you to visit our home prior to boarding so that you can see where your dog will stay and be cared for. We also require overnight trials with new clients so that your dog can familiarise themselves before their stay. All we ask is that you provide food, bedding, favourite toys – anything that you think will settle your dog in and help them feel as at home as they possibly can.
Our aim is to create less stress and anxiety for you and your dog so that you can enjoy your time away and your dog can enjoy a holiday of their own!
PUPPY VISITS
When your new puppy arrives in their new home, they may not be ready to go out for walkies straight away. The Dog Walker Portsmouth offers a tailor made home visit service including toilet breaks, feeds, lots of playtime and of course plenty of cuddles! We will also practice some of the basic command training to get your puppy started on the right paw!
Once your puppy has had all their vaccinations we can start short walks with pals of the same age for valuable fun and social interaction until your pup is ready to graduate to the big dogs’ walks!
